NHS Orthodontics now offered
The River Practice has been selected to provide NHS orthodontics to patients aged 17 and under in central Cornwall. Patients can come to us directly, but we prefer referral from your general practitioner. All children are entitled to an NHS orthdontic assessment but eligibility for NHS active treatment will depend on the severity of the position of the teeth and jaws. In addition, general dental care will need to be excellent with good tooth brushing and no active dental disease such as untreated decay.
