COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – Keeping our patients and staff safe

We pride ourselves on the extremely high standards of our cleanliness and keeping our patients safe. The sterilisation of our instruments and equipment and the high standards of hygiene of our staff mean that there is no risk of catching the virus from a procedure in the practice. However, in order to play our part in limiting the spread of Coronavirus within the non-clinical areas of the practice, we are introducing some minor changes to our practice and ask for your cooperation.

General hygiene

Please ensure that you have washed or gelled your hands before coming in the practice. If this has not been possible, please wash your hands on arrival. We have placed additional hand sanitisers around the practice.

Symptoms

Please DO NOT attend the practice if you are suffering from a fever (high temperature) or a dry cough that came on after a fever. Please also do not attend if you have been told to self-isolate or have travelled to an affected area (category 1 or 2) in the previous 3 weeks. Please call in advance of the scheduled appointment for advice on rebooking. We have clinical thermometers available to check your temperature if you are unsure.

Accompanying persons

Children under 16 may bring a single adult with them to their appointment (this needs to be someone with confirmed ability to consent for treatment, unless the patient is already under treatment and consent has been given to ongoing care). All other patients should come unaccompanied.

Any questions?

All of our staff have received training in their responsibilities. Our Coronavirus lead is Lisa Holmes, who is available at the practice for help and advice
